Is there a recommended dose of EPA/DHA for children with ADD?

There are no official recommended intakes of EPA/DHA for children with ADD. The published research has shown some moderate benefit in some studies using supplemental levels of EPA/DHA ranging from 1000-2000 mg/ day. However, other randomized controlled trials have generally not demonstrated any behavioural treatment effects. The current intake of EPA/DHA is somewhat below 100 mg /day amongst children in North America whereas intakes of 500-800 mg/day are commonplace in Japan.
