Can taking a daily fish oil supplement contribute to stomach/intestinal gas in some cases?

There are reports from some papers in the clinical literature indicating that relatively larger doses of fish oil supplements containing DHA/EPA can occasionally give rise to some nausea, diarrhea, belching, and a bad taste in the mouth in a few individuals. There is no evidence that higher levels of DHA/EPA in these products can eliminate intestinal gas in those who experience such with fish oil supplementation.
